Financial Aid Resources

Numerous funding options are available including institutional scholarships, private and outside scholarships, state scholarships, federal grants and loans, work-study programs, and payment plans.

  1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The University of Arkansas code: 001108.

  2. Scholarships

    Scholarships are monetary awards made to students to help fund the student’s higher education studies.

  3. Federal Grants

    Grants are often called “gift aid.” They do not have to be repaid. Federal grants provide funds based on the student’s total need.

  4. Federal Loans

    Federal student loans are funds which a student or parent may borrow for educational purposes. It is borrowed money and must be paid back with interest.

  5. State Programs

    The Arkansas Department of Education (ADHE) provides scholarship and grant funds to Arkansas residents pursuing a higher education.

  6. Work-study & Campus Jobs

    The University of Arkansas is committed to promoting part-time employment opportunities for students through federal work-study, on-campus employment, and off-campus employment and internship connections.

Scholarship Deadlines

New Freshman Scholarships

NOVEMBER 1 - Priority Admissions Deadline: Complete an admissions application, submit transcripts, and send test scores to the office of admissions by this date. Within 48 hours of application submission, the scholarship application will be available in your New Student Center.

NOVEMBER 15 - Priority Scholarship Deadline: Submit a scholarship application by this date for priority consideration for academic scholarships.

FEBRUARY 1 - Final Scholarship Deadline: Submit all required materials by this date for scholarship consideration.

Priority deadlines have been updated for the Fall 2024 application cycle.

Transfer Scholarships

ADMISSIONS: Complete an admissions application by March 15 to be considered for the April 1 fall scholarship deadline and by October 1 to be considered for the October 15 spring scholarship deadline. Within 48 hours of application submission, the scholarship application will be available in your New Student Center.

APRIL 1 - Scholarship Deadline for Fall Semester: Submit transcripts and a completed scholarship application by this date to be considered for an academic scholarship for the fall semester.

OCTOBER 15 - Scholarship Deadline for Spring Semester: Submit transcripts and a completed scholarship application by this date to be considered for an academic scholarship for the spring semester.
