Forget Your Password?
If you've forgotten your e-mail password, you're not alone. Each day the University fields many calls from prospective students who've lost their passwords and find they can't register for housing or orientation as a result. To reset your password, follow these simple steps:
Have you previously activated your UARK username?
Your UARK username (also known as your e-mail ID or UAConnect ID) is not the same as your ID number. Your ID number is provided by the admissions office in official correspondence. If you've not already activated your e-mail account, please visit UARK Accounts on the IT Services website. If you have already activated the account, skip to the next step.
Do you remember your reminder question and answer?
When you create your e-mail, you can set a reminder question and answer as another means of accessing your account. To use this option, visit Password Manager. If not, skip to the next step.
Submit a request to the University to have your password reset.
Go to the IT Services Help Desk, Registrar, or one of the General Access Computing Labs in the Arkansas Union or Mullins Library with a photo ID during business hours.
Distance students can fax or email (preferred) the password reset form available on the Registrar’s website.
Await a response and reset your password.
Staff will reset your password, call you (or email, if the form was sent from a personal email account already on file with the university) at the number listed on the Password Reset form and give you the authorization code and further instructions.
Write down your password and keep it in a secure location!
Your password will be very important to you once you get to the University. With it, you will be able to register for classes, pay your bill, accept financial aid, and, well, check your e-mail.
Please Note: For your privacy and security, University officials are not able to access your password. Nevertheless, if you have questions about the process, please do not hesitate to contact us.
