Ready Razorback

During the spring semester, the University of Arkansas invites high school juniors to attend our open house for future Razorbacks. Ready Razorback will allow you to meet current students and faculty, tour the campus, have lunch on campus, and learn about financial aid, scholarships, and campus housing. Space will be limited, so register early.

On-Campus Visit Information

Campus Tour
  1. Visit Length

    Visits include an information session with an Admissions Counselor and a tour. Information sessions last 30 minutes and campus tours last approximately one hour.

  2. Optional Additional Appointments (Monday - Friday)

    Campus visits also offer additional appointments with individual departments, and college tours when they are available.

  3. Accommodations

    If you, or someone in your party, require accommodations while visiting, we will make every effort to provide appropriate accommodations. Please let us know your needs as soon as possible, and we will be happy to help.

  4. Groups

    We offer group visits for schools and organizations (limit of 75 students per group) Tuesday through Thursday, except during the month of March. Space is limited and based on availability. If you would like to schedule a group tour, please contact the Office of Admissions at 479-575-6240 or email us at visit@uark.edu.

Due to the limited size of tours, we encourage you to register for your preferred date at least three business days prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, we cannot accept walk-ins.

Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food, and Life Sciences

The Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, offers a hands-on, career-focused education in the areas of agriculture and food industries, family and quality of life, and environment and sustainability. During your visit, you will meet with a representative from your department or with the college's Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment. These meetings typically last 30-45 minutes and include application materials and information specific to your prospective program of study. When possible, your visit will also include a tour of the facilities related to your major interest.

College of Education and Health Professions

The College of Education and Health Professions is the home of the caring professions at the University of Arkansas. Students pursue fulfilling careers in nursing, teaching, counseling, athletic training, exercise science, speech-language pathology, and many others. All students receive hands-on experience that is relevant to their major. The College offers 45-minute group presentations. Students interested in nursing are invited to sign up for a tour of our Eleanor Mann School of Nursing’s simulation lab in the Epley Center for Health Professions (Nursing Simulation Lab tours are only offered for Fridays during the fall/spring semesters and are based on availability). A department tour will be added to the student’s agenda when scheduling a campus visit above.

The College of Education and Health Professions and School of Nursing are unavailable to meet with prospective students on Wednesdays.

College of Engineering

The College of Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in biological, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering, as well as computer and data science. During your visit, you will meet one-on-one with an Engineering Student Ambassador to gain a student perspective and tour our outstanding facilities. Appointments with college faculty and administrators are also available on request (when available). Please indicate your engineering area of interest and that you would like to meet with engineering on the tour request form. Most engineering appointments occur after the University of Arkansas campus tour and are approximately one hour.

Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences

The Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences offers academic programs in Fine Arts, Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. The Fulbright College offers group presentations that typically last 45 minutes. The initial part of the presentation familiarizes guests with the college as a whole, then open up to discussion based on students’ specific interests and how they connect with the college at large. This session is also ideal for pre-professional students aspiring to pursue medical school, law school and the like.

Sam M. Walton College of Business

The Sam M. Walton College of Business offers majors in accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, finance, information systems, management, marketing, retail and supply chain management. Students will meet with a member of the Walton Recruitment Team and learn about the Walton curriculum, hands-on learning opportunities, internships, career placement, study abroad options, and more. You will also meet a Student Ambassador and tour our business facilities. Visits last approximately one hour.

Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design

The Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design offers an immersive design school experience in the fields of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Architecture and Design. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to tour our award-winning Vol Walker Hall with a staff member or student ambassador, and learn about the requirements of a design school education.

Visiting the Honors College

The Honors College brings together high-achieving undergraduate students with the university’s top professors to share transformative learning experiences.

On a campus visit, interested students have the option of learning more about the honors student experience during a presentation in Gearhart Hall, the home of the Honors College. These meetings typically last 30-45 minutes.

When you visit the U of A, make sure you have directions and parking information to become familiar with our campus. See the map below for the locations of the Garland Avenue Parking Garage and Silas Hunt Hall.

Parking on Campus

Parking is available adjacent to the UofA Bookstore in the Garland Avenue Parking Garage, located a short walk from Silas H. Hunt Hall. Please note that parking on campus is carefully controlled. To avoid possible tickets, please carefully read our parking meter instructions below. Parking fees are $1.90 per hour. You can also monitor your parking on campus with the free Flowbird App, see directions below.

  2. Garland Avenue Parking Garage

    Please park on the entrance ramps of level 2 or level 3-red. If all spaces on ramp level 2 and level 3 are occupied, please proceed to the top level of the garage, level 6.

    *Your rear license plate must be visible, backing in is not permitted.
  3. Use Meters or Flowbird Parking App

    See section below for step by step instructions on how to use both.
  4. Follow the sidewalk to Silas Hunt Hall

Flowbird Parking App

  1. Download the Flowbird app to your phone and follow the instructions to set up your parking account.
  2. Add vehicle information. Enter or confirm your License Plate number with no spaces or hyphens. Include all characters even the stacked letters.
  3. Allow location services when prompted.
  4. Select an icon for the garage/area you are parking and tap the “Park Here” pink button.
  5. Choose Duration
  6. Confirm Payment

  1. Press start to begin. 
  2. Press 1 for Pay by Plate Parking
  3. Press 1 to pay with card.
  4. Enter your license plate number
  5. Insert payment and follow prompt. 

Parking fees are $1.90 per hour.
