Admission Requirements
New Freshman
Students with no college credit, with college credit earned through concurrent enrollment while in high school, or with college credit earned the summer immediately after high school graduation.
Transfer
High school graduates with transferable college credit hours earned after completing high school.
Returning
Students who previously attended the University of Arkansas.
Concurrent High School
Students currently enrolled in high school who wish to earn college credit.
Non-Degree/Visiting
Students seeking no degree from the U of A or who are enrolled in a degree program at another institution and taking classes to transfer to that institution.
Senior Citizens
Arkansas residents who are at least 60 years of age and high school graduates.
Veterans/Military
Veterans of the United States Armed Forces, including students in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Or students who want to use their VA Benefits.
International
Prospective students who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents at the time of application.
Law Students
Priority application deadline is April 15. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis after that date. Admission is for the full-time program in the fall of each year.
Graduate Students
Students who wish to study for a post-baccalaureate degree in the Graduate School.
Ways to Apply
You can apply by using the buttons below. Please note that regardless of how you apply, you will need to use the New Student Center to proceed with the admission process.
New Student Center
You can apply for admission directly through our New Student Center. From there, you can apply for admission, track your application status, apply for scholarships, and register for orientation.The Fall 2025 application is open now!
The in-state application fee is $40.
The out-of-state application fee is $55.
Common App
You can apply using Common App. There, you can collect your information in one convenient place to make the application process easier.On Common App, the Fall 2025 application opens on August 1st.
The application fee for using Common App is $55 for both in-state and out of state students.
Be sure to use the email associated with your Common App account when logging into your New Student Center to check your application status and proceed with the admission process.
Admission process
Follow these steps to complete your admission to the University of Arkansas

Apply
Complete and submit the online application for admission. You may also apply through Common App. Visit the apply now section below for more details. -
Submit Official Transcripts
Send the Office of Admissions official copies of transcripts showing all previous academic coursework. High school transcripts can be sent through a transcript delivery service or sent from your high school by email to uofa@uark.edu. Transfer Students should send college transcripts to the Office of the Registrar. -
Send Additional Materials
Depending on your application, you may be required to provide additional materials such as fee waiver documentation and proof of residency. -
Submit Test Scores
The U of A offers test optional admission for most students, so you can apply and be admitted without ACT or SAT scores. But keep in mind, most scholarship opportunities continue to require test scores, and all admitted students should share scores with the Office of Admissions for placement and enrollment purposes. -
Check Your Status
Follow the status of your application by visiting your New Student Center. Check in here to view a list of materials we need, to apply for scholarships and to connect with your admissions counselor.

The New Student Center manages your application process, including applying for admission, uploading related documents, applying for scholarship opportunities and registering for new student orientation.
Setting Up a New Student Center Account

Select “First-time users” to create an account to start a new application.

Enter the requested information. Use a personal email address that you will have access to at all times, even after graduation.

Check your email for a message from the Office of Admissions with the subject line “Account Created - University of Arkansas Undergraduate Admissions,” and follow the steps listed there. Take note of the PIN included in this message – it is your temporary password to activate your account.

Follow the “Activate Account” link in this message to activate your account and establish a password.
Applied Through the Common App?
If you applied using the Common App, set up your New Student Center Account using the same email address associated with your Common App application.
Check Your Application Status
Log in with the email address and password you set up before applying. Your Application Checklist will list the outstanding items for your application. View more check status details.
Common Troubleshooting Tips
Forgot your password or lose your PIN?
Visit the reset password page for returning users. Do not create an account using a separate email address. If you need help, please call 479-575-5346.
If you don’t receive an account set up email with the subject line “University of Arkansas Online Registration,” be sure to check your spam folder. We also recommend adding uofa@uark.edu to your email contacts list to avoid important emails being delivered to the wrong folder. If the email isn’t in your spam folder, use the “Forgot Password” feature to receive a new email.
Admitted Students
Students who are admitted to the University of Arkansas will receive notification through email and mail. Once you are admitted, there are a few important next steps to take to complete your enrollment as a Razorback.
