a parking pass for the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors.
Students, parents, and supporters will be welcomed by the New Student Orientation
team and guided through the check-in process. Students interested in the optional
Honors College Experience presentation should arrive at 7:30 AM. All other students
must check in by 8:30 AM to receive documents pertinent for their enrollment.
This session is designed for students admitted into the Honors College and those interested
in opportunities available to honors students.
Students have been encouraged to submit an ID card photo online in advance of orientation.
If your photo was approved and your card is ready for pick up, you can do so now.

navigate the transition to college. Important topics like campus safety, transit and
parking, recreation, health, and Food on the Hill will be discussed.
In this session, students and their supporters will get to know the Office of Transition
Programs & Initiatives, along with Parent & Family Programs, and how they help new
students and their families feel connected to the university.
The Offices of Financial Aid, Scholarships and the Treasurer’s Office will introduce
policies, procedures, and more as you prepare to pay your tuition and fees statement.
Learn more about the resources available for students to promote academic success.
Important announcements will be given regarding academic advising and registration
processes prior to dismissal. Orientation staff will guide students to their college’s
meeting location.
All students and supporters will attend the College Meeting to learn more about the
academic college and area(s) of interest.
During the College Meeting, students will meet with academic advisors and discuss
their fall class schedule. Please note that every academic college has their own process
to facilitate lunch, academic advising, and class registration. End times vary by
college and enrollment need.

The following opportunities are encouraged for parents and supporters to attend while

have finished their class schedule and all questions have been answered, that concludes

to housing move-in, residence hall life, and more.
Representatives from the Treasurer’s Office will discuss frequently asked questions
related to paying tuition and fees, important to-do list items, and more. The University
Tech Store will share university technology requirements, recommendations, and ways
they can serve students from equipment repairs to purchases.
Whether you’re a veteran, active duty, reserve or National Guard member, or utilizing
the benefits of a family member who is, this session with the Veteran and Military-Affiliated
Student Center (VMSC) staff will help you understand the process of using your benefits
at the U of A.
Students and supporters can visit with UARK representatives from across campus to
learn more about opportunities for involvement, resources on campus, and more.
NEXUS Retention & Outreach program is inviting students and supporters to an open
house to explore the Freshman Commuter Lounge and meet the office staff.

students to the HPER in groups. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
Students staying on campus overnight will need to check out of their rooms by 8:45AM
before participating in any morning activities.
