Course Description

The workshop will focus on the course framework, the exam, and the new AP resources that will help with planning instruction. Time will be spent reviewing the multiple-choice questions and essay questions. This workshop will also provide strategies and resources for teachers to structure their course, reflecting content and skills specified in the College Board guidelines. Participants will receive best practice for writing, grading, and instructional strategies. In addition, specific attention will be paid to AP Classroom resources.

Penny Rosas, Consultant

Penny Rosas, an educator for 40 years, has been a College Board consultant and exam reader for 20 years. Receiving her undergraduate degree from Pan American University and her M.Ed. from University of Texas—Pan American, both of Edinburg, Texas, Penny has taught history classes from junior high school through college and finally found her true calling with high school juniors. Although retired from public school, Penny has continued teaching in private schools, currently at Faith West Academy in Katy, TX.
