Orientation is designed to welcome students to their new campus home. Parents and supporters are also encouraged to attend and learn information that is beneficial to all.

You'll learn more about the U of A, connect with other students, and meet with academic advisors to enroll in your first semester of classes.

Rafael Arciga Garcia

Assistant Dean for Admissions and Orientation

Rafael Arciga Garcia is the Assistant Dean for Admission and Orientation. He is a former undocumented student originally from Michoacán, Mexico. Rafael graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Latino and Latin American Studies with a minor in Spanish. In 2018 he earned a master degree in Higher Education.

Noelle Chesser

Assistant Director for New Student Orientation and Recruitment

Noelle Chesser is the Assistant Director for New Student Orientation and Recruitment. She is originally from Katy, Texas and received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in History from the University of Arkansas. In 2024 she earned a master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas.

Callie Jackson

Coordinator for New Student Orientation and Recruitment

Callie Jackson is the Coordinator for New Student Orientation and Recruitment. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Higher Education at the University of Arkansas. She is originally from Coweta, Oklahoma and received her bachelor's degree in University Studies with minors in Educational Psychology, History, and Political Science from Oklahoma State University.
