Parking and Directions
Welcome to Orientation at the University of Arkansas!
We're excited to welcome you to our campus. Below, you'll find all the information you need for parking and directions to ensure a smooth arrival.
Parking
Complimentary parking is provided during orientation at the Garland Avenue Parking Garage. Orientation Leaders will be located at the north entrance of the garage off Cleveland Street to provide you with a parking pass and guide you to check-in.
If you are being dropped off, please arrive at the Garland Avenue Parking Garage.
Check - In
Upon arrival, our Leaders will be on hand to guide you through the check-in process. Students attending a one-day session should plan to check in between 7:30 - 8:30 AM., whereas students attending a two-day session should plan to check in between 2:30 - 3:30 PM.
A campus map will be provided to you in your orientation packet, but you may also view the online campus map.

Make sure you have arrival instructions and parking information prior to arriving at orientation. Please note that parking on campus is carefully controlled. To avoid possible tickets, please carefully read our parking instructions for your orientation session.

Arriving from the north:
1. Take I-40 to I-49 North (exit 12)
2. From I-49, take the Wedington Drive exit (exit 64)
3. Turn right (east) onto Wedington Drive; drive east for 1.5
miles, then turn right (south) on to Garland Avenue
4. Turn left (east) onto Cleveland Street, and the entrance to the Garland Avenue Parking Garage will be on your right -
Arriving from the south:
1. Take I-49 South to Fayetteville
2. From I-49, take the Hwy 112 exit (exit 67A)
3. Turn right on Hwy 112, and travel south for 2 miles until you reach the northern entrance of campus
4. Turn left (east) onto Cleveland Street, and the entrance to the parking garage will be on your right -
Arriving from the west:
Take Hwy 412 West to I-49, and then see the directions "From the north" above. -
Arriving from the east:
Take Hwy 412 East via Cherokee Turnpike from Tulsa, OK to I-49 South, and then see the directions "From the north" above.
Fayetteville Transit

If you are traveling to the U of A from Northwest Arkansas Airport (XNA) or the Fayetteville Bus Depot, there are several shuttle services and rental car agencies you can use to get to campus. However, the university nor the Office of New Student Orientation themselves offers a shuttle service for orientation attendees. If you are being dropped off, please arrive at the Garland Avenue Parking Garage.

From XNA to Fayetteville: Turn east (left at airport exit) and go to Cave Springs. From Cave Springs, continue traveling east for 6 miles on Hwy 264 to I-49. Take I-49 South to Fayetteville. From I-49, take the Hwy 112 Exit (Exit 66). Turn right on Hwy 112 and travel south for 2 miles until you reach the northern entrance of campus. Turn left (east) on Cleveland Street, and the entrance to the Garland Avenue Parking Garage will be on your right.
