Why Participate in Orientation with My Student?
We are excited your student is attending the University of Arkansas. Make plans to participate in orientation with them, and you will have the opportunity to learn more about the campus resources and support network available to your student at the U of A.
The New Student Orientation staff looks forward to working with you and your student during the admissions and enrollment process.
There are 2 Fees Associated with Orientation:
Parent and Guest Fee
A $50 fee will be added to the student's statement for each guest over the age of 12 attending orientation. This fee funds family engagement and year-round programming through Parent & Family Programs, which serves as the main connection between the university and Razorback families. This office organizes events, resources, and services to support families throughout the college experience. By attending orientation, parents and guests automatically become General Members of the Parent & Family Association.New Student Fee
A mandatory $105 fee will be charged to the tuition and fees statement for any student who attends orientation or enrolls in classes. Students who withdraw from the university after attending orientation or enrolling are still responsible for paying this fee.How do I register for Orientation?
All parents and supporters who attend orientation with their student will simply register during check-in at orientation. Pre-registration is not required.Where do I stay during the overnight portion of Orientation?
